There has been an optician on the Woodseats premises for about 40 years now. In July 1996 it became Alex Gage Opticians and the site was completely refurbished. We have gradually introduced more designer ranges and we plan to continue to improve the selection of frames in stock.

After the first year of trading we invested in on-site glazing. This allows us to do specs in one hour as well as keep the standard of glazing high and the cost low.

In addition we have invested in a new computer system, which allows us to send reminders to patients by post, e-mail or even by SMS to your mobile phone. This is still new to us and so far only a few of our patients have given us their e-mail address, though I hope this site will change that.
