Where as about a third of people under the age of 35 wear glasses, the occurrence of visual aid will start to increase at this age. Glaucoma is a common problem that can be easily treated and is more likely to occur over the age of 40. It is caused by too much pressure in the eye and because it is very gradual it is unlikely that you will be aware it is developing. Fortunately Glaucoma can be detected - even in it's early stages - by an eye examination at our practice.
